ear visual aesthetics
this band is cool af. the relationship between the tone of the music and the album artwork / mv are very interesting to me. something almost abject about the visuals being paired with the lowercase indietronica. the way the album cover recontextualizes the bedrot-cute-intimacy of the music feels like a genuine update on the film grain / scanline / anology degradation aesthetics that bedroom poppers have plastered on their projects for like 15 years.
if multiple people i showed the ear record to are complaining / confused about the album cover, i think the band is doing something unique. the resolution of image combined with the intimacy and ambiguity of the action conveys a voyeurism i associate with chatroullette or p*rn. give it 8 months and a lot of nina brats are gonna be copying this vibe
really awesome album and you can hear it in my laptop_ twee playlist
