exciting album !!

love how intentional the journey feels. it seemlessly descends from an emo shoegaze thing into this hazed lofi idm. what’s impressive is that for all the territory it covers, the trip remains coherent. a really thoughtfully sequenced record in a similar pallette to her new knife

i‘m obsessed with the song in another life’. still trying to piece together what’s happening. it’s either stutter chopping the performance or maybe they’re using some fucked up timeremapping or warp settings to get the glitch. reminds me of the production effects on some raps songs. i have no idea if i’m totally off on how it’s being achieved, but i love that death drive write a real song for their band to play and then are completely willing to fuck it up in the daw.

luv2uxk is also mad. really cool texture. almost sounds like autechre or some shit by the end. very deliberate 20 minute album. well worth a full spin
