first episode of this is dope. liz’s book ‘mood machine’ had a real impact on my thinking this year. incredible deep dive into the ways streaming algorithms impact the art and the way musicians create and think. really really recommend it to anyone trying to understand their place in the streaming infrastructure. im sure it could be interesting to music fans but i think it’s basically a must read for people making music today (it’s depressing!!)
maxis lamemeyoung (now & peretsky) who doesn’t really need an introduction but he’s a goat and one of favourite old men yelling at the sky. our drummer is a long time member of his discord. cool to hear two thinkers who inspire my thought coming together to talk this stuff out. only one episode out so im not sure if i can fully recommend the patreon atm. but i enjoyed the first ep and im very interested in what these two are up to
